Bingo Draws More Customers to Local Businesses in West Chester

The chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester, Pennsylvania, has made bingo as an incentive to discover local businesses in the area as were seen at the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium that Saturday.

Danielle Fagnani, a local resident and whose family owns Sprazzo, a coffee shop in the area, near High and Gray streets commented that with that kind of event, it really draws alot of attention to West Chester and with the location of their business. It is really a good day for them.

25 businesses from West Chester participated in the bingo game/bike race. The pamphlet for the bike race contains a bingo board, a map for the entire race and the route and the list of establishments participating in the whole game. Their job is to stamped the card when participants walked in to browse or buy products in each of their stores.

If an attendee to the event joins the bingo, they can enter the raffle for the five $1,000 dollars prizes. If they succeeded and been able to complete their stamps on the card by browsing or buying on the participating stores, then they can enter the raffle for the $500 dollars cash prize.

Liza Natalizo-Booth, owner of Largo's men clothing store on South High Street in West Chester and the person that can be credited about the idea of bicycle bingo commented that the bingo boards will bring more customers to her store even those people you do not expect to come at all. People can also just come and relax in West Chester eventhough they are not joining the games. West Chester will also benefit from this exposure from all the visitors, whether intent on buying and joining the festivities or just their to explore the place and stroll along.

Some problems that popped up like last year were that some owners complained that some streets in the district are closed off for too long and that the celebrations should be move to Sunday because most businesses in West Chester are close anyway and there would be little problem and less bother.

Mac Nellon, President of West Chester Cycling Classic objected to the proposal, saying that it would be impossible to hold the event on a Sunday. Also, if it is held at night time, it cannot attract potential sponsors. The race has also had an added benefit of attracting more people to the area which is good for business and provides shops free advertisement.
